“Dual-view” inspection technology arrives at Itaqui Port and reshapes security standards

A new inspection technology is beginning to transform operations at Itaqui Port. The terminal will now operate with a dual-view scanner, a system that allows cargo to be analyzed from multiple angles simultaneously — something unprecedented among public ports in Brazil’s Northern Arc.

The benefits are immediate: reduced margin of error and faster access control. Instead of a limited scan, operators gain an expanded view, minimizing blind spots during inspections.

The new system is part of a broader security package that includes facial recognition, metal detectors, and electronic access control. The strategy is to create a continuous, multi-layered verification system.
