Maersk Tango service adds Pecém call and drops Salvador stop

Maersk will change the Brazilian port rotation of its UHC Tango service as part of adjustments aimed at improving schedule reliability and operational efficiency.

The Maersk Tango service will add a weekly call at the Port of Pecém, with vessels scheduled to berth at 11 p.m. on Saturdays and depart at 2 p.m. on Sundays.

At the same time, the service will stop calling at the Port of Salvador. The final vessel call at Salvador is scheduled for August 27, when the container ship Maersk Frankfurt arrives on voyage 633N.

“We would like to inform you about upcoming changes to our UHC Tango service, designed to further improve service reliability and operational efficiency,” Maersk said.

The company said Salvador will continue to be served through a cabotage connection between Salvador and Pecém, allowing cargo to connect onward with the Tango service.

For shippers and logistics operators, the change alters the service’s direct-call structure in Brazil while preserving access to Salvador through coastal feeder links. The adjustment also strengthens Pecém’s role in Maersk’s network as a weekly connection point for the Tango service.
