Brazil agribusiness exports close in on U.S. in global market

Brazil agribusiness exports are close to overtaking U.S. agricultural exports in global trade, as Brazilian farm shipments continue to grow while U.S. sales abroad have lost momentum in recent years.
Over the past five years, Brazil’s agribusiness export revenue rose 68% to $169 billion, nearly matching the $171 billion posted by the United States over the same period. U.S. agricultural export revenue grew 14% in that comparison.
