Egg exports from Brazil, including fresh and processed products, totaled 2,322 metric tons in August, up 9.1% from the 2,129 tons shipped in the same month of 2025, according to the Brazilian Animal Protein Association, known as ABPA.
Revenue from international sales reached $4.87 million, down 15% from the $5.73 million recorded in August 2025.
From January to August, exports totaled 19,982 metric tons, a 38.1% decline from the 32,303 tons shipped in the same period last year. Accumulated revenue reached $43.90 million, down 41.7% from $75.30 million in the first eight months of 2025.
Chile was the main destination for Brazilian egg exports in August, with 1,213 metric tons, a 605.1% increase from the 172 tons shipped in August 2025.
Vietnam followed with 275 tons, ahead of Sierra Leone, with 160 tons; Mexico, with 144 tons, down 52.6%; and Japan, with 140 tons, down 75.8%.
“The August result shows a recovery in Brazilian egg shipments across different markets. Chile’s performance and the start of sales to new destinations in the monthly comparison reinforce the sector’s ability to diversify its exports. At the same time, the year-to-date result remains below the exceptional performance recorded in 2025, when there was an atypical international situation, especially in the North American market,” said ABPA President Ricardo Santin.
The latest monthly figures show Brazil’s egg exports regaining some ground in August, even as lower revenue and weaker accumulated volumes point to a more challenging comparison with last year’s unusually strong market conditions.
