Brazilian egg exports totaled 2,686 tonnes in September, up 29.4% from the 2,076 tonnes shipped in the same month of 2025, according to data compiled by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA).
Export revenue reached $5.866 million during the month, up 6% year over year from $5.536 million in September last year.
From January through September, exports totaled 22,669 tonnes, down 34.1% from the 34,378 tonnes recorded in the same period of 2025. Revenue reached $49.769 million, a decline of 38.4% from the $80.832 million generated a year earlier.
“The cumulative decline is essentially due to the exceptional level of purchases made by the United States in 2025. When we remove that effect from the comparison, we see growth of more than 50%, confirming the consistent expansion of Brazilian products in international markets,” ABPA President Ricardo Santin said in a statement.
Excluding shipments to the United States in both periods, Brazilian egg exports grew 51.4%, from 14,863 tonnes between January and September 2025 to 22,501 tonnes during the same period of 2026.
Brazilian Egg Exports Expand Across Other Markets
Among the main destinations in September, Chile led purchases with 1,204 tonnes, up 201.3% from the 400 tonnes shipped in the same month of 2025.
It was followed by Japan, with 351 tonnes; Ecuador, with 300 tonnes; Mexico, with 244 tonnes; and Sierra Leone, with 135 tonnes.
