Brazilian agribusiness exports totaled $7.6 billion in October, up 12.8% from the same month in 2025, according to data released on Friday (Nov. 6) by Brazil’s Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC).
According to the ministry, the sector accounted for 20.8% of Brazil’s exports during the month, supported by a 1.7% increase in shipment volumes.
MDIC data show that Brazil’s total exports reached a record $37.8 billion, with the country posting a trade surplus of $9.3 billion. The performance was driven by increases in export volumes (7.3%) and prices (10.8%).
The strong performance of Brazilian agribusiness exports was driven by soybean shipments, which rose 8.9% to $3.13 billion, accounting for 8.3% of the country’s total exports in October.
According to the ministry, unroasted coffee exports ($1.6 billion), which increased 5% year over year, and unmilled corn, excluding sweet corn ($1.33 billion), also contributed to the month’s growth in shipments.
Datamar data also point to strong performance in containerized coffee exports. According to the company, Brazil exported 84,085 TEUs between January and September. See more details below:

Other notable products during the month included rye, oats and other unmilled cereals (up 12,208.8%, an increase of $340 million); live animals, excluding fish and crustaceans (up 212.1%, or $150 million); raw cotton (up 25.3%, or $120 million); and unroasted coffee (up 5.2%, or $80 million).
Exports of soybean meal ($1.07 billion), pulp ($1.02 billion) and poultry meat and offal ($946 million) also increased. Under the MDIC’s classification, these products fall within the manufacturing sector.
Within the same category, however, exports of fresh, chilled and frozen beef fell 30% compared with October 2025, totaling $1.24 billion. The decline was driven by lower shipments to China.
Exports of sugars and molasses ($1.18 billion) also declined, falling 27.5% during the month.
Brazilian Agribusiness Exports: Year-to-Date Performance
From January through October, the sector’s exports totaled $72.4 billion, up 9.2% from the same period in 2025, putting them on track to reach a record high. So far this year, the sector’s products have accounted for 22.5% of Brazil’s total exports.
Agricultural shipments were driven by an increase in soybean exports ($46 billion), while unroasted coffee ($10.7 billion) and unmilled corn, excluding sweet corn ($5.7 billion), recorded slight declines.
Other products that registered year-over-year increases included live animals, excluding fish and crustaceans (up 81.1%, an increase of $760 million); raw cotton (up 16.4%, or $590 million); rye, oats and other unmilled cereals (up 5,125.0%, or $500 million); and fresh or dried non-oil-bearing fruits and nuts (up 17.0%, or $180 million).
Among agribusiness products classified under manufacturing, fresh, chilled or frozen beef ($14.2 billion) led exports, despite the exhaustion of China’s import quota in August.
Exports of pulp ($9.09 billion), soybean meal ($8.83 billion) and poultry meat and offal ($8.77 billion) also increased. By contrast, sugars and molasses ($8.56 billion) stood out for their decline, with exports falling 27.4% compared with the first ten months of 2025.
