DataLiner shows (as below) Brazil’s reefer exports improved in June, up 9.4% to 44,951 TEUs compared to May. In the first semester of 2018, Brazil’s total reefer exports reached 275,810 TEUs, up 0.6% year-on-year. The Plate region’s reefer exports increased significantly in June, up 14.6% to 20,861 TEUs comapared with June 2017. Total reefer exports for the Plate region went up 6.6% in the first semester year-on-year, to 107,041 TEUs.
Dataliner showed no change in Brazil’s tanker exports in June compared with the previous month. For the first semester as a whole, tanker exports improved marginally by 0.6% to 15,301 TEUs year-on-year. The Plate region’s tanker exports showed a much greater increase, growing 32.4% in June compared with the previous month, to 858 TEUs. In total 4758 TEUs were exported via tanker by the region in the first semester of 2018, up 14.4% compared to the same period last year, as shown below:
