
CMA CGM applies additional freight charge on cargo bound for Bangladesh

CMA CGM said it will apply an additional freight charge on all cargo bound for Bangladesh, due to the excess volume of cargo going to this destination. The fee will be implemented as of June 1, 2020 * (BL date), in prepaid mode. It will be a charge of US$170/TEU, applicable to dry containers.
The freight surcharge has been in force since May 2020. According to CMA CGM, the charge will be valid until September 2020 and refers to SEAS / NBA services, in addition to alternative routes such as BRAZEX, SAFRAN, and SIRIUS.
