Vale informed that it stopped the circulation of trains on the Fábrica Nova branch of the Vitória-to-Minas Railroad (EFVM), in the Mariana Complex, in Minas Gerais, after the Regional Labor Superintendency prohibited activities near the Xingu dam at Mina Alegria
.
According to Vale itself, the measure will prevent the flow of up to 33,000 tons per day of iron ore fines produced at the Timbopeba Plant, leading to the temporary suspension of the unit.
In addition, Vale stated that it had to close some internal accesses of Mina Alegria, with partial impacts on the plant’s production, estimated at 7500 tons of iron ore fines per day.
