YTD motorcycle exports up 79.8% with increased sales to Argentina, Colombia, and the USA

With a strong increase in exports to Argentina, Colombia, and the United States, year-to-date Brazilian motorcycle exports have increased 79.8% compared to the same period in 2020. In the first ten months of this year, 46,947 motorcycles were exported, a large increase over the 26,109 units shipped in the same period last year.
The main markets were Argentina, Colombia, and the United States according to data by ABRACICLO (the Brazilian association of manufacturers of motorcycles, mopeds, scooters, bicycles, and similar). The data was released on November 17th on the foreign trade statistics portal Comex Stat which records total monthly exports.

13,423 motorcycles were shipped to the Argentine market, representing 28% of the total exported volume. Exports to Colombia totaled 10,565 units (22% of the total exported). The United States received 10,501 motorcycles (21.9%).
According to data from ABRACICLO in October, shipments of motorcycles to the foreign market totaled 4,182 units. The volume was 14.2% lower than the 4,872 motorcycles exported in September and 79.5% higher compared to the same month last year (2,330 units). The three main destinations for motorcycles were Argentina (1,240 units and 24.1% of the total exported), Canada (1,134 units and 22.1%), and the United States (1,114 units and 21.7%).
