With Brazilian beef exports to China suspended for almost two months, China continues to certify plants in other countries to supply beef to China.
On October 29, Uruguay had already announced that its model of veterinary health certificate was accepted by the Office of Government Headquarters Affairs of the Macau Special Administrative Region, an autonomous region in southern China. The opening of the market applies to both beef and lamb, with or without bones, and their by-products. To export, slaughterhouses must be authorized by the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries of Uruguay.

The General Coordination of Customs in China (GACC) also informed that six new pork, beef and poultry companies in the United States and meat products produced in cold rooms will be exported there from October 29th.
Last week, the Minister of Agriculture, Tereza Cristina, stated that maintaining the embargo is not a Chinese political act and that the situation is not exclusive to Brazil. According to her, exports from Ireland to the Chinese have been suspended since May.
