CDRJ invests to improve port security

Rio de Janeiro Port Authority (CDRJ) has made a series of investments to revamp its existing security systems with 150 new cameras, image-capturing devices, access control systems, OCR image processing systems, radios, gates, mechanical ratchets, perimeter security radars, and a new control center. The new installations will provide greater control over its operational parameters.

By April, the port will meet the minimum requirements of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. The project is a collaboration between CDRJ and the Port Operators Union of Rio de Janeiro (Sindoperj), upon considering suggestions from concessionaires, carriers, and port companies.
