Rumo and HB Santos, a subsidiary of Hidrovias do Brasil, signed a binding memorandum of understanding to implement transport solutions for fertilizer customers; the operation establishes an annual volume of 500,000 tons of the product.
The operation will use the port terminal operated by HB Santos and the rail transport operated by Rumo, in addition to being carried out in the “take or pay” format.
In a statement issued by the companies, they emphasize that the commercial partnership could further diversify the services of the operation at the port of Santos.
The memorandum is valid for three months beginning December 10th and may be extended after an agreement between Rumo and HB Santos.
