
Uruguay: YTD exports exceed 10 million dollars by November

In November 2021, Uruguay’s exports including free zones, totaled US$ 1,097 million, an increase of 60% year-on-year, as disclosed by Instituto Uruguay XXI in its monthly foreign trade report.
According to the report by the institute responsible for promoting Uruguay’s investments and exports, exports from January to November 2021 totaled US$ 10,390 million, an increase of 42% over the same period in 2020. Meat, electricity, pulp, wood, meat derivatives, soy, and beverage concentrate are the products with the greatest positive impact on the variation in the period.
The export level is 23% higher than the record set in the same period in 2019, which indicates a recovery in exports from pre-pandemic levels.
