Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine’s president, called for a global boycott on all Russian products, including oil, on Monday, March 7.
“If the invasion continues and Russia does not abandon its plans in Ukraine, then we will need a new sanctions package,” Zelensky said in a video.
Zelensky urged the international community to act more vigorously to make Russia back off from its attempts to invade the neighboring country.
The Ukrainian president calls for a boycott on all Russian exports, especially oil and its derivative products, one of the driving forces of the Russian economy. He also urged other countries to stop shipping products to Russia.
“Let the war feed them,” Zelensky said. “When someone loses his mind, you need to forget your fear and surrender trade.”
