According to government data released on Monday, March 13th, soybean exports from Brazil reached 502,900 tonnes per day by the second week of March, a 9.2% decrease from the daily average recorded in the same month of 2022.

Harvest work for the 2022/23 cycle has been delayed in some producing states compared to previous harvests, reducing the volume of soybeans available for shipment. The country is the world’s largest producer and exporter of the grain.

On the other hand, data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) show that foreign corn sales have jumped, with the daily average reaching 91.47 thousand tonnes in March over just 649 tonnes per day in the same month last year.

As for oil, the average daily shipments more than doubled to 649.75 thousand tonnes, an increase of 167.9% compared to the average of March 2022, according to Secex.
