Kuehne+Nagel disclosed its financial results for 2022, in addition to revealing its business plan for the next four years, “Roadmap 2026.” Its mission for 2030 was defined as becoming the most trusted partner in the supply chain and contributing to a sustainable future.
Kuehne+Nagel closed the 2022 financial year with an exceptionally strong result. Group net turnover increased by 20% to CHF 39.4 billion, EBIT by 28% to CHF 3.8 billion, and net profit by 30% to CHF 2.8 billion.
The conversion rate, which describes the ratio of EBIT to gross profit of the Group, was 33.9%. All business units contributed significantly to the company’s success. Due to the overall economic slowdown, the result in the fourth quarter of 2022 was weaker compared to the rest of the year.
In Latin America and the Caribbean, the company maintained its leadership position by increasing its market share in maritime and air freight, in addition to consolidating its logistics services for segments such as e-commerce and healthcare.
About the company’s new business strategy, Ingo Goldhammer, President of Kuehne+Nagel for South and Central America, said: “The goal is to continue growing in a sustainable manner while also expanding in markets where we see opportunities for growth. We will pay special attention to the provision of the best service experience, a key factor to achieving the success we seek.”
Roadmap 2026 is based on four pillars of mutual support and connection. The main one is the “Kuehne+Nagel Experience,” followed by “Living ESG,” which delineates concrete actions of Sustainability, Digital Ecosystem, and Market Potential. Globally, the Kuehne+Nagel Group aims to achieve a conversion rate of 25% to 30% by 2026.
