The British company Ocean Wilsons, which has the ownership of Wilson Sons, is currently conducting a comprehensive strategic analysis of its business, possibly affecting the Brazilian port operation company.
At this early stage of the analysis, Ocean Wilsons is exploring various strategic options, but it’s important to note that no definitive outcomes have been determined yet.
In a recent statement, Ocean Wilsons clarified that they had not received any formal proposals from third parties regarding a potential transaction involving the ownership of Wilson Sons.
Speculation arose on Sunday when columnist Lauro Jardim, from the newspaper “O Globo,” reported that Swiss company MSC is negotiating to acquire Wilson Sons in a deal valued at approximately BRL 5 billion.
Wilson Sons emphasized its commitment to maintaining transparency and adhering to high standards of corporate governance. The company pledged promptly to inform its shareholders and the broader market of any significant developments or pertinent information.
