Chile stands as largest importer of Paraguayan beef in 1H23

According to the National Animal Health and Quality Service of Paraguay (Senacsa), Chile emerged as the largest importer of Paraguayan meat from January to June 2023, procuring 64,084,087 kilograms of this animal product.
During this period, Paraguay managed to export over 154,000 tons of beef, resulting in a total revenue of US$ 745,081,231, as per the data disclosed by the Paraguayan agency.
Regarding bovine offal, Paraguay succeeded in shipping a cumulative total of 28,490,828 kilos so far this year, with an approximate value of 44,897,040 dollars.
Finally, Senacsa’s report highlights the primary export markets for Paraguayan meat between January and June. Aside from Chile, these markets include Taiwan, which imported 20,255,854 kilos; Brazil, with 13,559,998 kilos; Russia, with 13,877,028 kilos; and Vietnam, with 6,251,745 kilos.
