Following this record result, the automotive sector has become the product with the highest absolute growth this year.
In percentage terms, there has been a 43% growth in vehicle imports, mainly driven by countries such as Argentina, China, and Mexico, which together account for nearly 70% of imports to Brazil.
Argentina leads the list with 44.9%, followed by China and Mexico, both at 11.2%. Compared to the same period last year, all three countries saw increases, with notable jumps for the Chinese and Mexicans, who went from $42.9 million and $74 million, respectively, to $251 million each.
