The Port of Fortaleza, under public administration, has announced it achieved its highest-ever cargo throughput in October.
At the month’s close, it reached 15,393 TEUs, a standard unit of measurement internationally recognized as a Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit, representing a container of 20 feet in length.
Regarding the achievement, Lucio Gomes, the CEO of the Port Company, expressed confidence that they are on the right path. He attributed the success in October to fruit exports, citing an excellent harvest. Additionally, he emphasized the port’s strength in other sectors, such as petroleum and its derivatives, as well as wheat and bulk minerals.
