Check the major trading partners of the countries on the East Coast of South America in the article below, ranked in terms of international trade via containers from January to November of 2023, along with a comparison with the same period in 2022. The data was gathered by the business intelligence team at Datamar.
In the first eleven months of 2023, China was the nation that imported the most units of Brazilian containers (441,589 TEUs), a 10.2% increase over the same period in 2022. Over the same comparison frame, Brazil’s second-ranking commercial partner, the United States, received a volume 14.8% lower. Mexico, which came in third place, on the other hand, got a volume that was 14.7% higher. Check the full ranking below:

In terms of container imports into Brazil, China ranks first, with 1,083,609 TEUs. The volume is 15% higher than the same period in 2022. The United States, ranked second, sent 3% more goods to Brazil. In the same period, German imports fell 3.3%. See more examples below:

China leads the list of countries importing containers into Argentina with 199,741 TEUs, 1.2% less than in 2022. When comparing January/November 2023 and 2022, Argentine imports to Brazil—the country’s second trading partner—dropped by 25.8%.
