Pork exports in Mach slow down compared to 2023

Pork exports, whether fresh, refrigerated, or frozen, for the third week of March (11 business days) have slowed compared to the same period in 2023.

The US$106,308,468 earned from pork exports represents 45.91% of the total collected in March 2023 (US$231,527,515).

Regarding the volume shipped, the 46,689,016 tonnes seen thus far are about 49% lower than the total recorded in March last year (95,225,917 tonnes).

The Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex) disclosed the data on this Monday (18).

The daily average revenue so far has been US$9,664,406, a 4.0% decrease compared to March 2023.

As for the average tonnes per day, there were 4,244,456, an increase of 2.5% compared to the same month in 2023.
