With a career spanning over two decades in the logistics sector, José Roberto Duque has taken on the role of Commercial Head at Aliança Navegação e Logística—a Maersk company specializing in coastal shipping and logistics integration. In his new position, Duque will be responsible for managing relationships with the company’s more than 1,800 clients.
Duque holds a degree in Foreign Trade from Universidade Paulista, an MBA in Business Management, and has specialized in People Management and Strategic Leadership from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He began his career in the field as a commercial analyst for refrigerated cargo and spent 12 years at Maersk, where he held strategic roles in Customer Service and later in Sales, eventually becoming the Commercial Manager for the East Coast of South America and Regional Head of Sales for the group’s digital logistics platform, Twill.
After this experience, Duque served as Chief Commercial Officer at another coastal shipping company before rejoining the A.P. Moller-Maersk group, now at Aliança Navegação e Logística.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to return to this group of inspiring companies, and I am very excited to lead the Sales team at Aliança Navegação e Logística, a pioneering company in coastal shipping. I am eager to further develop my skills and contribute to the company’s success,” said José Roberto Duque.
Aliança Navegação e Logística, with 70 years of experience, handles more than 1,000 land movements daily. The company operates a fleet of around 200 trucks and 9 container ships, services 14 Brazilian ports and 18 rail terminals, and has over 48,000 square meters of warehouses across the country.
