The Santos Port Authority (APS) will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 6, at 9:00 a.m. regarding the auction for the STS 08 area, a terminal dedicated to mineral liquid bulk on the right bank of the Port of Santos.
This virtual hearing will be broadcast on APS’s YouTube channel. Those who wish to speak during the public hearing must register by Sunday, November 3. The broadcast is open to all, and registration is not required to watch.
The hearing is part of a public consultation process on the terminal’s lease, available on the Participa + Brasil platform. Interested parties can access it by visiting the APS website, selecting “Information Access” at the top of the homepage, and clicking the green “Social Participation” icon. Under “Public Hearings and Consultations,” they can find the link to Participa + Brasil and Public Consultation number 04/2024 – STS08.
Plans for STS 08 include four new berths, additional storage tanks, and two overpasses. Covering 152,200 square meters within the Organized Port of Santos in Alemoa, the terminal aims to expand storage capacity for liquid bulk, mainly fuels.
After a 30-day period to gather contributions, APS plans to submit the procedure to the Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) and then proceed with the auction on B3, the São Paulo Stock Exchange. The auctioned area will have connections to pipelines, highways, and piers in Alemoa, the primary liquid bulk handling area on the right bank of the Port of Santos. The two overpasses will be built by Ecorodovias, as per an agreement between the State Government, the Department of Roads (DER), and the Santos Port Authority.
