The federal government launched an investigation on Wednesday (October 11) into alleged dumping practices in the export of powdered milk (whole and skimmed, non-fractionated) originating from Argentina and Uruguay and the harm caused to the domestic industry by these practices.
The decision was published in a circular from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce, and Services (MDIC) in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU).
In the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM), the relevant product codes are 0402.10.10, 0402.10.90, 0402.21.10, 0402.21.20, 0402.29.10, and 0402.29.20.
“The analysis of dumping evidence covered the period from January 2023 to December 2023,” stated the ministry. “The damage analysis period, on the other hand, spanned from January 2021 to December 2023.”
