Government Registers Opening of 20 New International Markets in January

Brazilian agribusiness will have secured access to 20 new international markets by 2025. The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock announced that Saudi Arabia and Turkey began importing new products from Brazil in January.

Saudi Arabia obtained the International Veterinary Certificate for importing ornamental fish from Brazil. In 2024, Brazilian agricultural exports to the Arab country totaled more than USD 2.7 billion, with key products including meat, the sugar-energy complex, cereals, flours and preparations, and the soy complex.

Meanwhile, Turkey will import blood derivatives and dairy products from Brazil not intended for human consumption. Last year, Brazilian agribusiness exported more than USD 3.1 billion in agricultural products to Turkey, including the soy complex, fibers and textile products, and coffee.

With these two new markets, Brazilian agribusiness opened 20 new market opportunities in 2025. Since President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s administration began, Brazil has secured 320 new business opportunities.
