The Santos Port Authority (APS) has requested that the Joint Parliamentary Front for National Ports suspend a public hearing scheduled for March 14, which was set to discuss the development of four logistics complexes in the cities of Santos, Guarujá, Cubatão, and São Vicente. The APS cited the need to complete formal procedures related to the designated project areas as the reason for the request.
Before the hearing can take place, a preliminary site visit must be conducted in Conceiçãozinha, Guarujá. Additionally, the decree formalizing the new port jurisdiction, which extends the boundaries of the Organized Port to include São Vicente, must be published. Other necessary formalities concerning the areas in Santos and Cubatão must also be addressed.
In response to APS’s request for procedural compliance, federal representative Rosana Valle, who chairs the Parliamentary Front, agreed to suspend the hearing until these steps are completed.
