Week 202521

According to a report released this Monday, the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove) has made only minor adjustments to its 2025 projections for Brazil’s soybean crop and export volumes but raised its revenue forecast, reflecting higher prices.

Abiove estimates revenue from soybean complex exports (including soybeans, meal, and oil) to be US$ 54.4 billion, 3% higher than the April projection.

The upward revision is mainly due to price adjustments for soybeans and soybean oil. With this change, Abiove expects higher export revenues in 2025 than in 2024, when the sector’s shipments totaled US$53.9 billion.

Slight Revision in Export Volumes

In terms of volume, soybean exports were slightly revised to 108.2 million tonnes, compared to 108.5 million tonnes in April’s forecast.

Abiove also increased Brazil’s soybean production estimate by 100,000 tonnes, now projecting a harvest of 169.7 million tonnes, already completed.
