Beef Exports Surge 33.5% While Poultry Shipments Drop 12% in June

Brazil’s Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) released on Monday (June 9) the total volumes, daily averages, and revenues from the country’s meat complex exports (poultry, pork, and beef) for the first five business days of June.
While beef and pork exports rose, poultry exports fell, primarily due to import bans imposed by over 40 countries following the detection of avian flu at a commercial farm in Montenegro, Rio Grande do Sul.
Poultry Meat Exports
Brazil’s exports of poultry meat and edible offal (fresh, chilled, or frozen) generated US$ 160.833 million, with a daily average of US$ 32.166 million.

Brazil’s exports of fresh pork earned US$ 65.296 million, averaging US$ 13.059 million per day.
