Brazilian Chicken Exports: Iraq and South Korea Ease Restrictions
Jun, 24, 2025 Posted by Denise VileraWeek 202526
The Brazilian poultry sector received essential updates this week regarding export restrictions imposed by international markets. Iraq has decided to fully lift restrictions on Brazilian chicken meat, allowing exports to resume to the country.
Meanwhile, South Korea has officially adopted the principle of regionalization, limiting restrictions only to the specific Brazilian region affected by sanitary incidents without impacting shipments from other disease-free areas.
These decisions represent significant progress for Brazil’s international meat trade and reflect the confidence of trade partners in the country’s sanitary controls and transparency.
