Argentina cuts export taxes on soy, corn, and beef

A reduction in export taxes on soybeans, corn, soybean oil and meal, and beef in Argentina took effect on Thursday (31), following the publication of a presidential decree in the Official Gazette of the major global food exporter.
The decision had been announced on Saturday by President Javier Milei. With it, export taxes on soybeans and their derivatives—oil and meal—were reduced to 26% and 24.5%, respectively, down from the previous rates of 33% and 31%.
