Brazilian egg exports (including fresh and processed products) totaled 5,259 tonnes in July 2025, according to the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA). This figure represents a 304.7% increase compared to the same period last year, when 1,300 tonnes were shipped.
Revenue from exports in July reached US$11.808 million, a 340.9% increase over the US$2.678 million recorded in July 2024.
With this monthly performance, total exports between January and July reached 30,174 tonnes, a 207.3% increase compared to the 9,818 tonnes shipped during the same period last year. Cumulative revenue amounted to US$69.567 million, up 232.2% from the US$20.940 million earned between January and July 2024.
The United States remains the main destination for Brazilian egg exports, with 18,976 tonnes shipped in the first seven months of the year (+1,419%) and revenue of US$40.7 million (+1,769%). Next came Chile, with 2,562 tonnes (-27.9%) and US$7.533 million, Japan with 2,019 tonnes (+175.2%) and US$4.689 million (+163.3%), and Mexico with 1,843 tonnes and US$8.135 million. Other highlights during the period include Angola (889 t), the United Arab Emirates (1,677 t), Uruguay (428 t), and Sierra Leone (473 t).
“It is still too early to predict the impact of trade issues with the United States on egg shipments, but there is a possibility that the flow will be maintained, given the continued strong U.S. demand due to the ongoing shortage in that market,” said ABPA president Ricardo Santin.
