OceanPact signs R$3.2 bln Petrobras deal to charter four subsea vessels

OceanPact has signed four new contracts with Petrobras totaling approximately R$3.2 billion for the chartering of ROV Support Vessels (RSVs) over a four-year period.

The vessels Parcel do Bandolim, Parcel das Timbebas, Parcel das Paredes, and Parcel dos Reis will be used in subsea operations involving Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) for the inspection of structures, preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment installation and removal, among other activities on Petrobras’s offshore units.

OceanPact will be fully responsible for the operation of the vessels and ROVs, which are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, capable of operating at depths of up to 3,000 meters, and outfitted with a wide range of tools for various underwater tasks. The operations will be carried out by teams with extensive experience in the sector, reinforcing the company’s commitment to operational excellence, innovation, safety, and environmental protection.

In December 2024, the company had already announced the signing of a R$697 million contract with Petrobras for the chartering of the Ilha do Mosqueiro, an Offshore Terminal Support Vessel (OTSV), for a period of four years.

With a fleet of 28 owned vessels — including RSVs, OSRVs, PSVs, RVs, MPSVs, and AHTSs — and the largest inventory of offshore emergency response equipment in Latin America, OceanPact has established itself as a national leader in supporting complex maritime operations, serving all oil and gas operators in the country.
