Brazilian orange juice exports in the first three months of the 2025/26 crop year (July–September/25) have fallen short of last season’s performance, according to researchers from Cepea. Data from Comex Stat show that juice shipments totaled 199.7 thousand tonnes in frozen concentrated equivalent, down 4% from the same period a year earlier, while revenue fell 15% to US$751.3 million.

According to Cepea researchers, the decline in export revenue reflects weaker international prices, driven by higher global supply and more cautious purchasing behavior, particularly among European buyers.

A notable development at the start of the crop year was a shift in destination composition. For the first time in several years, exports to the United States and the European Union were nearly equal, each accounting for about 48% of total shipments (by volume).

Sales to the U.S. market rose 13%, even with the residual 10% import tariff, underscoring the country’s strong dependence on Brazilian juice. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union — traditionally the top destination — fell 8%, affected by reduced demand following last season’s high prices and quality issues.
