The port system of Argentina’s Santa Fe province closed 2025 with strong expansion across its main terminals, according to official data from the provincial government. The Port of Rosario handled 3.57 million tonnes during the year, a 63.1% increase from 2024, driven by agroindustrial exports and higher container flows. Container traffic totaled 85,000 TEUs, with more than 240 vessel calls recorded.
Terminal and cargo highlights
December was a particularly strong month for the Rosario complex, with total throughput of 159,000 tonnes.
In agricultural bulk, operator Servicios Portuarios S.A. shipped 309,000 tonnes during the year, sharply higher than the 64,000 tonnes recorded in December 2024. In containerized cargo, Terminal Puerto Rosario (TPR) posted a monthly record of 10,500 TEUs in December, up 109% year on year.
According to Datamar, the Port of Rosario’s export throughput reached 20,424 TEUs from January to November 2025, up 74.7% compared to the previous year. Monthly export trends from the DataLiner platform are detailed below:

Reconquista shifts toward services
The Port of Reconquista continued to diversify its activity profile, consolidating its role as a services and logistics support hub. In the naval segment, the port completed the refurbishment of its first barge, opening the way for additional shipbuilding and repair projects at local yards.
Demand for nautical and livestock-related services also increased. Livestock support operations totaled 81 calls in 2025, while the leisure segment expanded sharply, with marina capacity doubling over two years, from 600 boats in 2023 to 1,200 in 2025.
