Market opening for Brazil nuts to Turkey

The Brazilian government has concluded negotiations with Turkey’s authorities to allow the export of Brazil nuts, both shelled and in-shell, to that country.
Internationally recognized for their nutritional value, Brazil nuts are harvested sustainably by traditional communities. Exporting this product to the Turkish market will promote income generation and regional development, contributing to the conservation of the standing forest.
In 2025, Turkey imported more than US$3.2 billion in Brazilian agricultural products, with highlights including soy complex products, coffee, fibers, and textiles.
With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness has reached 535 market openings since the beginning of 2023.
This result is the outcome of joint efforts between the Ministério da Agricultura e Pecuária (Mapa) and the Ministério das Relações Exteriores (MRE).
