Argentina reports export growth across more than 200 agro-industrial products

Argentina exported 209 agro-industrial products with year-on-year growth in the first four months of 2026, out of a total of 332 products shipped abroad, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries said.

The products that posted gains generated US$11.318 billion in export revenue and totaled 29.67 million tonnes, according to figures processed by the Undersecretariat for Agri-Food Markets based on INDEC data.

Several products recorded sharp increases in export volumes. Sunflower seed shipments rose 1,366%, while exports of dried shelled black beans increased 865%. Cotton yarn exports climbed 863%, followed by dried beans, up 381%; sesame, up 190%; stemmed tobacco, up 132%; butter, up 109%; other forage products, up 86%; pork and pork products, up 84%; honey, up 84%; wheat, up 77%; lemons, up 76%; sunflower oil, up 69%; greasy wool, up 66%; ice cream, up 65%; peaches, up 51%; powdered milk, up 44%; vermouth, up 42%; baked goods and barley grains, both up 41%; grape juice, up 38%; orange juice, up 37%; glycerol, up 35%; garlic, up 29%; and frozen boneless beef, up 10%.

The government also reported that 89 products reached their highest export volumes in a decade.

Another 33 products that were not exported in the first four months of 2025 were shipped during the same period in 2026, generating US$21.4 million. These included sweet potatoes, pork fat, safflower seeds, dried apples and pears, and goat meat, among others.

The Secretariat said Argentina’s agro-industrial sector has strengthened its global presence, supported by government measures such as the reduction or elimination of export duties, the opening of new markets, trade agreements with the European Union-Mercosur bloc and EFTA, and the simplification and digitalization of export procedures.
