Brazilian chicken meat exports rose 40.6% in June, the Brazilian Animal Protein Association, ABPA, said on Monday (6). Shipments totaled 482,800 tonnes during the month, including fresh and processed products.
Revenue from exports reached US$985.5 million, up 54.7% from the same period last year.
As a result, the first half of 2026 was the strongest on record for Brazilian chicken meat exports, both in volume and revenue, according to ABPA.
From January through June, shipments totaled 2.936 million tonnes, up 12.9% from the same period in 2025. Export revenue rose 17% in the period, reaching US$5.7 billion.

China remained the leading destination for Brazilian chicken meat, followed by Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the European Union, South Africa and Mexico.
The sector expanded exports despite geopolitical tensions and logistics challenges linked to the conflict in the Middle East.
“Even in this scenario, Brazil significantly expanded its presence in strategic, higher-value markets such as Japan, the European Union, South Korea and China, while maintaining a strong position in the Middle East and opening up opportunities in emerging markets,” said ABPA President Ricardo Santin.
