DataLiner Vessel Calls | January to August 2018

Overall, the total number of vessel calls at Brazilian ports dropped slightly by 2% during the first eight months of 2018 compared with the same period last year. The most notable changes during this period comparison were as follows:

• Santos saw 1% more number of vessels
• Paranaguá vessel calls fell by 2%
• Rio Grande calls plunged 10%
• Rio de Janeiro up 13%
• Suape had 9% less vessel calls
• Vila do Conde calls fell 9%
• Navegantes calls went down 17%
• Pecem had 14% higher vessel calls
• Fortaleza had 1% more vessel calls
• Itajai had a massive 65% increase in the number of vessels called
