DOF and TechnipFMC JV vessel catches fire in Brazil

A massive fire broke out last Friday morning onboard a pipelay support vessel (PLSV) Skandi Búzios while docked at the Port of Açu in Brazil.
The incident was reported at around 03.00 hrs local time, and the blaze has since been brought under control after efforts by the crew and local authorities.
The 2016-built vessel on charter with Petrobras is owned and operated by TechDOF, a joint venture between TechnipFMC and DOF Subsea.
Norwegian vessel owner DOF confirmed the incident and assured that all personnel are safe and that no serious injuries were sustained.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
