Abiarroz reports rice exports at 114,600 tons in August

Brazil’s rice exports (husk base) reached 114,590 tons, according to data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) compiled by the Brazilian Rice Industry Association (Abiarroz). Imports reached 80,040 tons and, with that, the surplus was 34,150 tons.
Last month, Brazil exported to 75 destinations, with Gambia, Nicaragua, the Netherlands, Peru, Venezuela and Costa Rica being significant importers.
