Starting in June, Aliança Navegação e Logística, an A.P. Moller-Maersk company, will connect the ports of Itapoá, in Santa Catarina, and Manaus, in Amazonas, through a new express route, expanding logistics integration between Brazil’s South and North regions.

The operation was designed to improve cargo transport efficiency, with transit time of just 13 days between Itapoá and Manaus, reducing delivery times and offering greater agility to customers using maritime transport between the two hubs. In addition to now offering two weekly calls in Itapoá, the new express route will also connect Santos, in São Paulo, to Manaus in up to 12 days.

“Our ambition is to position coastal shipping as an increasingly competitive pillar in the development of integrated logistics chains in Brazil. This portfolio expansion reinforces our commitment to connecting the country’s main economic hubs more efficiently and generating consistent value for our customers,” said Luiza Bublitz, president of Aliança Navegação e Logística.

The initiative reinforces the company’s strategy to expand coastal shipping solutions in Brazil, with gains in frequency, reliability and operational efficiency. The new service is expected to help boost trade between the regions and increase the competitiveness of Brazilian coastal shipping.
