Anec raises Brazil’s soybean and corn export forecast in February

The National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) upped its forecast for Brazilian soybean and corn exports in February this week, although bran forecasts fell compared to the previous week’s projection.
Anec estimated Brazil’s soybean exports at 7.2 million tonnes, a new record for the month, 100,000 tonnes above the previous week’s forecast.
If the number is confirmed, the country’s exports will increase by about 1.7 million tonnes compared to the same month last year.

Brazilian exports of soybean bran may reach 1.83 million tonnes in February, compared to 1.95 million predicted in the previous week, meaning an increase of more than 900 thousand tonnes compared to February 2021.
Corn exports were forecast at 530,000 tonnes in February, up from 350,000 last week, virtually unchanged from February last year.
