The National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) raised its projections for shipments of soybeans and corn from Brazil in September, with shipments of the oilseed estimated at 4.8 million tons, according to a survey released on the 14th.
If confirmed, the volume will represent a high compared to the 3.91 million tons registered in the same month of 2020. The week before, the organization’s expectation, based on the ship schedule, was 4.4 million tons for soybeans.
Regarding corn, Anec is reporting shipments at 2.9 million tons, versus 2.67 million last week.
Even so, cereal exports are set to suffer a sharp drop compared to the 5.76 million tons shipped abroad in September 2020, due to the break in the second harvest 2020/21.
