Argentina: drought harms late harvest corn planting

Late-harvest corn planting is occurring at a languid pace due to the lack of water, informed Argentina’s meteorological institute Inta. Early corn is generally in vegetative growth. The most advanced crops are beginning to flourish and could see their yields compromised if the water deficit continues.

Finally, Inta reports that early-harvest corn and the first soybean crops are beginning to flourish. However, late planting/second crop is delayed due to a lack of water in the soil. The information is from the CMA Latam Agency.
