Argentinian vehicle exports strong in 2018

Data from Argentina’s Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association (Adefa) shows that its vehicle export market managed to perform well in 2018, despite high inflation and interest rates. Vehicle production fell slightly by 1.2% to 466,649 units during the year compared to 472,158 units in 2017. However, vehicle exports rose 28.5% to 269,360 units during this time. Sales at home suffered during the year due to the recession, plummeting by 22.9% to 681,816 units .
