Auction winners announced for 6 liquid bulk terminals in Pará

Brazil’s Ministry of Infrastructure and National Waterway Transportation Agency (Antaq) have announced the winners of the auction in Pará state which took place this morning at the São Paulo Stock Exchange (B3). Of the six liquid bulk terminals that were up for auction, five are in the Port of Belém and one is in the Port of Vila do Conde.

All the areas in the port of Belem (BEL02A, BEL02B, BEL04, BEL08, and BEL09) are located at the Petrochemical Terminal of Miramar (see the map below), and are used for handling and storing combustible liquid bulk cargoes such as gasoline C, anhydrous and hydrated ethanol, fuel oil, diesel, biodiesel and aviation kerosene.

The winner of the BEL02A area in the Miramar Petrochemical Terminal is Latitude Consortium with a winning bid of R$40m.

The winner of the BEL02B area in Miramar Petrochemical Terminal is Petróleo Sabbá with an R$60m bid.

Ipiranga Produtos won the bidding for the BEL04 area again in the Miramar Petrochemical Terminal with R$87m.

Petrobras Distribuidora SA won the bidding for the BEL08 area in Miramar Petrochemical Terminal with R$50m.

Again in Miramar Petrochemical terminal, the BEL09 area winner is Petrobras Transportes SA with a bid of R$30.3m.

Lastly, the winner of VDC12, located in Vila do Conde Port, is Terminal Químico Aratu SA Tequimar with a bid of R$180.5m.

The organizers expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the auction which had participation from other bidders. Now, the Ministry intends to focus on concessions in the Santos and Paranaguá port areas.
