Brazilian bean exports continue to show record performance, both in monthly volume and in the 12-month accumulated total. According to data from the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex), Brazil shipped 91.1 thousand tonnes of beans in October, the largest monthly volume recorded since the beginning of the historical series in 1997. In 2025, 452.9 thousand tonnes have already been exported, and in the accumulated 12-month period, the volume totals 537.17 thousand tonnes – both historical records.
In the domestic market, surveys by the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea) indicate that prices rose for carioca beans last week. On Friday (11/7), in eastern Goiás, the price of higher-quality carioca beans was R$223.59 per 60-kg bag, a daily increase of 0.23%.
For black beans, prices fluctuated between stability and a slight decline. On Friday, in southern Paraná, the average price was R$132.69 per bag, a daily drop of 0.54%.
In the fields, planting of the Brazilian 2025/26 first crop reached 34.2% of the estimated area as of November 1, according to data from the National Supply Company (Conab). Paraná leads planting activities, with 85% of the area cultivated, followed by Santa Catarina (68.3%), Rio Grande do Sul (50%), Bahia (30%), Minas Gerais (25%), and Goiás (3%). In Minas Gerais and Goiás, recent rains improved soil moisture conditions, facilitating progress in operations.
