Week 202550

November delivered another strong result for Brazilian agribusiness. Exports reached US$ 13.4 billion, a 6.2% increase compared to the same month in 2024, driven by higher shipped volumes (+6.5%), even amid more moderate international prices. The month was the second-best November in the historical series.

From January to November 2025, agribusiness exports totaled US$ 155.25 billion, the highest value ever recorded for the period and 1.7% above the same interval last year. Foreign sales continue to play their complementary role to the domestic market: they expand scale, strengthen production chains, generate jobs and income, and stimulate investment across all regions of the country.

China (US$ 52.02 billion, +10.0%), the European Union (US$ 22.89 billion, +5.4%) and the United States (US$ 10.48 billion, –4.0%) remain among the leading destinations for Brazilian agribusiness exports from January to November. Other relevant markets also increased their purchases in the period, such as India (US$ 3.02 billion, +11.0%) and Mexico (US$ 3.0 billion, +8.5%), a trend that points to gradual and consistent geographic diversification, with gains distributed across different regions.

In November, soybean exports totaled US$ 1.83 billion (+64.6%), beef reached US$ 1.75 billion (+51.8%) and green coffee hit US$ 1.5 billion (+9.1%). Both meat and coffee set record values, while beef export volumes exceeded 318,000 tonnes, the highest ever registered for November.

From January to November, Brazil exported 3.15 million tonnes of beef, an 18.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Revenue reached US$ 16.18 billion (+37.5%). In November, exports of beef offal also set a record, totaling 27.1 thousand tonnes. This growth directly reflects markets that opened in 2025.

Market openings boost results

Indonesia, for example, authorized 17 new slaughter plants and began importing bone-in beef and offal, increasing purchases by 579%. The Philippines, which also opened its market to these products, raised imports by 35%. These results show how market openings and new approvals strengthen the presence of Brazilian products worldwide.

Both pulp and uncarded, uncombed cotton posted record value and volume in November. Pulp reached US$ 939.2 million (+8.6%) and 1.85 million tonnes (+14.3%), while cotton totaled US$ 640.1 million (+18.6%) and 402.5 thousand tonnes exported (+34.4%).

Exports of beans and pulses continue to grow, supported by new market openings since 2023, including Russia, Lebanon, Costa Rica, and Peru for beans, and China, South Korea, Malaysia, and South Africa for sesame. In November, sesame recorded a historic high, with US$ 70.9 million (+20%) exported and 72.3 thousand tonnes shipped (+47.7%). Beans also set a record in exported volume (48.3 thousand tonnes, +6.8%).

Since 2023, 500 new markets have been opened for agribusiness products. In addition, tools such as AgroInsight and the Agro Export Caravan have brought producers and cooperatives closer to opportunities in new markets, providing reliable information that encourages and supports small and medium exporters’ entry into international trade. AgroInsight alone has identified more than 800 opportunities in 38 countries. The positive results in November reflect the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to expand business opportunities across agribusiness segments.
